His solo career is starting off in the right direction.
Zayn Malik dropped the third song off of his upcoming solo debut album “Mind of Mine” on Thursday.
The message behind the sexy “Like I Would” isn’t too cryptic — it’s obviously about an ex, possibly Malik’s former fiancée Perrie Edwards.
Zayn Malik’s album is set to be released on March 25, exactly one year to the day from when he left Harry Styles and company in “One Direction.”
The songs, which is primed to be an early contender for hit of the early summer, starts of with Malik saying “hey what’s up it’s been a while.”
He then refers to the ex multiple times as “cold-hearted” while comparing himself to her new boyfriend with steamy, suggestive lyrics:
“He won’t touch you like I do /He won’t love you like I would / He don’t know your body / He don’t do you right / He won’t love you like I would, love you like I would.”

The 23-year-old singer’s first two singles from “Mind of Mine” are already hits.
“It’s You” peaked at number nine on the UK R&B chart, while the popular “Pillowtalk” hit number one in eight countries.
