The Force? For Mike Francesa, 'Star Wars' is a farce

Looks like the Sports Pope will not be visiting a galaxy far, far away any time soon.

In fact Mike Francesa doesn’t know his Jedi from his Jar Jar!

“No chance … it would be the first ‘Star Wars’ I’ve ever seen.” Francesa said during his Friday broadcast on WFAN. “I will tell you how bad it was, I didn’t know which guy was Han Solo.

“I didn’t know if Harrison Ford was Luke Skywalker or Han Solo, OK … so that’s how out of it I am.”

In fact, Francesa’s not a big fan of the genre at all.

“I have never seen an episode of ‘Star Trek,’ I did watch ‘Lost in Space’ once when I was kid, didn’t like that,” he told his underlings on air. “Never saw a ‘Star Wars’ movie and have not seen ‘2001.’ I don’t like science fiction movies. … ‘Star Trek,’ ‘Star Wars’ I can’t tell them apart.”

As for fans dressing up and costumes, no chance.

Here’s a shocker: Mike Francesa won’t be seeing the new ‘Star Wars’ movie.

“Do you know they said Aaron Rodgers did this?” Francesa asked. “You hear this? In the outfit? … Is he kidding?”

And he couldn’t quite grasp the concept of the order of the movies, specifically with ‘Star Wars’ being the fourth movie in the series but the first released.

“The first movie they released was one … how it is four? Why would it be four if it was the first movie they released?

“How do you start with Part 4 if no one had seen anything before they did the first movie. What was it four of? How can something be four if know one has seen it yet?”

And what is his ideal movie?

“I can watch ‘Pearl Harbor’ that’s a movie I can watch. It’s got a little something to it,” Francesa added. “You know who steals it? Alec Baldwin is the best thing in the movie. Listen, (Ben) Affleck has gotten better as he has gotten older, he has a little work to do as an actor but he is getting there. he’s not Matt Damon but that’s OK.”
