Jenny got back.
Jennifer Lopez sat down for a dramatic reading of Sir-Mix-A-Lot’s bodacious butt ballad “Baby Got Back” with W Magazine, and the “Booty” singer somehow managed to make it sound like a romantic poem.
“Some brothers wanna play that hard role. And tell you that the butt ain’t gold’. So they toss it and leave it. And I pull up quick to retrieve it,” she reads, earnestly looking into the camera.
Jennifer Lopez looks stunning in the May issue of W. The star spoke to the magazine about her career, confronting sexism in the industry and her personal relationships.
In 2014, the ‘90s rapper revealed Jenny from the block was, in fact, the inspiration behind the hip-hop classic, “Baby Got Back.”
Sir-Mix-A-Lot admitted that J.Lo’s gluteus maximus came to his attention way back when the Bronx native starred in sketch comedy “In Living Color.”

“So Cosmo says you’re fat. Well, I ain’t down with that!” Lopez continues to read, challenging the media’s oft-unrealistic representation of the female body.
The New Yorker opened up to the magazine about her strong work ethic, her personal relationships and confronting sexism in the industry.
Sir Mix-a-Lot will surely approve of the poetic recreation.
“It’s a man’s world, and truly, people in a business setting do not value a woman as much as a man. I feel like I’m constantly having to prove myself,” Lopez, 46, said.
“If a man does one thing well, people immediately say he’s a genius. Women have to do something remarkable over and over and over.”
The American Idol judge also spoke about going through a divorce in the public eye.
The actress opened up about maintaining a strong work ethic, even in the face of adversity. “When it comes to work, I never get tired,” she said.
“When my marriage ended, it was not easy to find forgiveness. It wasn’t the dream that I had hoped for, and it would have been easier to fan the flames of resentment, disappointment, and anger,” she told W.
“But Marc is the father of my children, and that’s never going away. So, I have to work to make things right. And that is, by far, the hardest work I do,” she said.
J.Lo isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. Along with sitting on the panel of American Idol, the actress/artist stars as a detective in new series “Shades of Blue” alongside Ray Liotta, and she released a new single “Ain’t Your Mama” on April 7.
