Green Day has a lot of fictional fans.

From the lovable one-eyed Mike Wazowski in “Monsters Inc.” to the unpredictable Marla Singer in “Fight Club,” characters from movies sing the band’s hit song “Basket Case” in the Internet’s latest great supercut video.

The clip opens with Sex Bomb-Omb from “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” plugging in their guitars before showing Garth from “Wayne’s World” getting set up on drums.

Luke Skywalker and Yoda from “Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back” then enter the frame as the song begins.

Characters from “Spaceballs,” “Scarface,” “Whiplash,” “Finding Nemo,” “Training Day” and many more make appearances throughout the video, some only uttering one word.

In total, 109 movie clips are shown.

“The Maltese Falcon” and “Citizen Kane,” both of which were released in 1941 — 53 years before the song even came out — are the oldest films used.

The number of movies used in the “Basket Case” video surpasses that of the last viral supercut — Linkin Park’s “In The End” being sung by 183 big screen hits.
