There’s almost no doubt this song is about Blake Shelton.
Gwen Stefani’s upbeat, synth-heavy new single, released Thursday, is an ode to the thrill and frustration of a blossoming romance — just months after she and Shelton went public with their relationship.
“Why’d you have to go and make me like you? / Yeah, this is a feeling I’m not used to,” sings Stefani, 46, in the chorus. “Why’d you have to go and make me like you? I’m so mad at you ‘cause now you got me missing you.”

The former No Doubt frontwoman even croons, “Oh God, thank God I found you” during the bridge.
She also mentions darker days, possibly alluding to her divorce from Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale.
“I was fine before I met you / I was broken but fine,” the song begins.
Stefani’s country crooner beau is clearly a fan, as he plugged the track on Twitter soon after its debut.

“You can probably understand the multiple reasons why I just bought this,” Shelton, 39, wrote early Friday. “I hope you do to!!!”
The couple announced their fledgling romance in November, mere months after Stefani ended her marriage to Rossdale and Shelton finalized his divorce from Miranda Lambert.
Stefani will film the music video for “Make Me Like You” on live TV during a Grammys commercial break Monday night, reports People.
The tune is off her upcoming album, “This Is What the Truth Feels Like,” which drops March 18.
