Gigi, Nick Carter, A.J. McLean team up on 'Lip Sync Battle'

Supermodel Gigi Hadid teams up with Backstreet Boys fan-favorites Nick Carter and A.J. McLean for Thursday’s “Lip Sync Battle,” mouthing the lyrics of the boy band’s seminal hit, “Larger Than Life.”

In a new teaser for Thursday’s episode, Hadid, dressed in form-fitting black leather jumpsuit, welcomes the pop-music heartthrobs onto the stage midway through he already dazzling rendition, earning a score of screams from the female members of the audience.

The trio then breaks into the song’s chorus, jumping up and down and pointing towards the crowd as they lip sync the catchy 1999 single.

Even Hadid’s competitor on the episode, “Teen Wolf” actor Tyler Posey, couldn’t help but enjoy the electrifying moment, as he passionately pumped his arm in the air and mouthed the words along from the side of the stage.

Surprise celebrity cameos are regular occurrence on the popular Spike competition show.

In last month’s Season 2 premiere, actor Channing Tatum welcomed pop superstar Beyoncé onstage to help him perform her female empowerment anthem, “Run The Word (Girls).”

Then three weeks ago, comedian Josh Gad punctuated his racy rendering of “I Touch Myself” dressed as Donald Trump by making out with an identically dressed Johnny Galecki, who rode onto the stage at the conclusion of the performance on a donkey.

Hadid’s entire performance of “Larger Than Life,” as well as several other numbers by the 20-year-old star and her teen drama counterpart, airs on Spike on Thursday.
