Eagles, Jackson Browne unite to honor Glenn Frey

The surviving members of the Eagles flocked to the Grammys to honor late co-founder Glenn Frey.

Performing Frey’s signature song, “Take It Easy,” Eagles alums Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Bernie and Timothy B. Schmit were joined by Jackson Browne for Sunday night’s tribute.

Though Frey set the bar high, Browne stepped in to provide a peaceful, easy feeling during the song. He was a natural fill-in, since he co-wrote the 1972 song.

Frey died on Jan. 18 at the age of 67 in New York City, the victim of complications of rheumatoid arthritis, ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.

Without much fanfare, the band kicked into the song with a photo backdrop of the late, great singer.
