Lay off the hashpipe, Weezer.

In the band’s latest attempt to cater to young music fans, Daniel Lara and Josh Holtz, the two teens of “Damn Daniel” fame, are both in the band’s newest music video for “California Kids.”

For most of the clip, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo is wandering around the Golden State by himself, occasionally having flashbacks of scenes from other recent videos the band has released.

At the end, Cuomo finds himself on a beach and drops his famous, nerdy glasses.

Naturally, the scene then becomes a perfect situation for the two Internet stars to ambush.

Weezer is known to use viral Internet stars to their advantage.

In their music video for 2008’s “Pork and Beans,” Tay Zonday, of Chocolate Rain fame, as well as Chris Crocker, known for his “Leave Britney alone!” rant, both make appearances.
