Alleged doughnut licker Ariana Grande is still struggling with temptation, according to her sultry new single.
In “Dangerous Woman” — the title track off the singer’s upcoming third album, released late Thursday night — the 22-year-old Florida native sings about a unnamed enticer that has her riled up.
“Somethin’ ‘bout you makes me feel like a dangerous woman,” Grande throatily belts out the catchy chorus. “Somethin’ ‘bout, somethin’ ‘bout, somethin’ ‘bout you / Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn’t.”
Ariana Grande released the title track and album art for “Dangerous Woman” late Thursday.
The single, the second released off her third studio album due out May 20, is a mature-sounding departure from her earlier work.
But it’s unclear whether the two-time Grammy nominee — who was famously caught on surveillance tape appearing to slobber over doughnuts and proclaim “I hate America” last July 4 — is referencing a lover, or just her forbidden love for pastries.
Grande thanked fans as her track shot up to No. 1 on iTunes within hours.
“Woke up to see this,” she tweeted with a screenshot of the charts Friday morning. “I’m so absolutely blown away!!! thank you so so much. my heart is pounding.”
The singer is set to perform “Dangerous Woman” and another new song, “Be Alright,” when she pulls double-duty as “Saturday Night Live” host and musical guest this weekend, she announced recently on her website.
