Just over a month after “The Walking Dead” aired its midseason finale, fans already have an ominous 29-second taste of what’s to come.

AMC’s intense midseason premiere teaser trailer, released Wednesday night, leaves viewers wondering at whom Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is brandishing a hatchet, why Maggie (Lauren Cohan) is shrieking back-from-the-dead Glenn’s (Steven Yeun) name, and when they’ll finally get a glimpse of long-anticipated villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).
AMC’s “The Walking Dead” released a teaser Wednesday for its season 6 midseason premiere.
“I thought living behind these walls was possible,” Rick whispers in a voiceover. “I was wrong.”
‘THE WALKING DEAD’ STAR NORMAN REEDUS BITTEN BY FAN
The series left off Nov. 29 on a relatively underwhelming cliffhanger, with Jessie’s son, Sam, whimpering for his mother as Alexandria was overrun by a horde of walkers.
The second half of season 6 premieres Feb. 14.
